Most of the time and almost all visitors arrive at this place in pitch darkness.  You do not get a chance to see how the place looks like.
Fireflies Park

The private Resort , the second and the new  destination for watching Fireflies. Actually it is not that new anymore as it has being in operation for some years by now.

 Bukit Belimbing

In this sprawling complex, the open public area consist of the administrative office cum ticketing counters, a Seafood Restaurant and  car park. Within the fenced area - the chalets, departure terminal and the parking platform for the boats.

i
First building here at the entrance is the ticketing booth. It is opened from 8.00 pm till 11.00 pm. daily

Tickets are sold on a basis of Rgt 10 per person.

There is also the enquiry counter during the daylight hours. Calls and bookings are accepted.

Adjourning the administrative building is this Restaurant.

The destination is remote and the outlet do not expect any causal visitor during the day.

Don't be surprised that it caters only for the dinning crowd.

Pictures of the chalets can be seen on sites showing accommodation in Kuala Selangor and the scene below is that relating to going for the boat trip.

A scene of the parked crafts from the waiting lounge. The latest models are equipped with hard canopy. The "Jetty" on a floatation platform  is linked to this bridge whose inclination varies with the water level.

l
Here you will see that connection. Likewise looking back at the waiting lounge.

Then some scene of the vegetation in this vicinity.

Along the banks, both sides of the river, the vegetation is predominantly Nipah palm.

This picture shows a typical example where the transition zone supports both mangroves and palms.

Here of course, scenes with the "leafy" trees that are instrumental for the "beetles" to cling on while displaying their  nightly rituals.

Flash light are not allowed as it will interfere with the nightly rituals of the fireflies

Being located further down stream, the effects of inundation is more obvious.

It is also rumored that the flooding of the dry lands forces most of the "beetles" to remain on the trees.

Indirectly interpreted, you will see more flashing trees when the tide is up.
