These vans charged the usage of the vehicle on the basis of per ride, irrespective of distance. Each journey costing RM10 is regulated by the practice of having 4 passengers. If you are aware that the ride would be for a short distance and particularly if you have less than 4 persons, then it would be advisable to walk. This rule of Rgt 10 per trip do however do not apply to a single trip going round the Island. The trip would pass through most of the beaches, the 2 towns, "Satay fish" factory [souvenirs shop] and the "great Wall".
