The Dragon's Backbone

This Ridge is a long and narrow series of karsts hills with a high content of Quartz crystals. The ridge itself, averaging 70 meters high and runs in semi circle bordering the eastern edge of Kuala Lumpur city. Quartz is one of the three common components in the formation of rocks.

Here in the Quartz Ridge - as names implies, the trails and surfaces around the Ridge is littered with Quartz crystals. Individually or in clusters. Large and tiny. The Quartz here varies from that of totally transparent to most in whitish color and semi opaque. You can see them on the ground reflected by sun lights. Some even went as far as breaking up some rock faces hoping to expose hidden chambers. Do not deface the Rocks on the ridge. Do waste your time, it is better to get them from the shops.
