All these talks perhaps concocted up images leading to expectations that time spent in Chini must be enjoyable.  I must stress that this is a small locality with a conducive ambience. With photographs of the scenes, you have seen all there is.  Come prepared with your own programme if you intend to spend some time here. As a day tripper time you schedule. 

This is a wooden jetty on Lake Chini itself. The property of a  privately operated resort , it is a  welcome stop over for refreshment. Beside this outlet and  a couple of "Orang Asli" families, Tasek Chini and the land fringes its banks survive the onslaught of farmers.

After years of waiting, a couple of scenes showing the progress made by the forest to rejuvenate. This by the way is the aftermath effects of that decision to flood the access canal. That original jungle lost its will to fight back and by now can only confirm that we cannot bring back the dead. New vegetation has taken over 

 No matter how much information is available, some decisions particularly those involving "Nature" are irrevocable.

Scenes of the original Chini. A shallow lake at times completely coated with a film of lotus plants. The clumps of reeds breaking up the water surfaces are Pandanas.

Look closer, the tiny dots of pink are even more dramatic in real life. On the boat within the same eye level, The green of the leaves disappear from sight as it blanket the surfaces. The fields, it  turn pink with flowers protruding over the water. 

The private Lake Chini resort , quietly tucked away in the woods. Thanks to land mark of the wooden jetty, it helps to fix its where about and signifies its existence. For those arriving by road,  boat tours departs from this point.
